PSO OFFERING POWER SAVING KITS TO STIGLER CUSTOMERS

March 19, 2012

Public Service Company of Oklahoma (PSO) is giving its customers in Stigler an opportunity to save energy and money by offering free power savings kits.

The Easy Savings® kits are being offered as part of PSO’s efforts to promote energy efficiency and to help customers understand how they can take control of their home energy costs.

Each kit includes six different energy saving products and tips that can help customers save up to $400 a year on home utility bills.

Along with a quick start guide, each Easy Savings kit includes:

• One 13-watt compact fluorescent light...(60-watt equivalent)

• One high-efficiency showerhead

• One electroluminescent night light

• One digital thermometer

• One kitchen two-stage aerator

• One filter alarm

"The Easy Savings kits that are being made available to all of our customers in Stigler are an excellent complement to the Living Wise energy efficiency kits we make available to schools in our area," said Frank Phillips, external affairs manager for PSO. "We want to help raise awareness among Stigler’s residents of how they can better manage their energy usage, and making these free energy saving kits available is a good way to do that."

Mailers promoting the kits are being sent to all of PSO’s residential customers in Stigler. The information in the mailer advises customers about what they need to do to receive their free kit.

Only one kit is available at no cost per household, but customers will be allowed to purchase additional kits for $50.
