Traffic Impact Advisory: US Route 23 traffic to be impacted by electrical work Dec. 4

November 29, 2012

Ashland, KY -- Kentucky Power contractors will temporarily close all lanes of U.S. Route 23 at the intersection of Route 2 in Greenup County (mile point 11.1), Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012 in order to safely perform electrical work at that location.

The roadway will be closed for approximately 10 minutes beginning around 10:00 a.m. in order to allow workers to safely remove power lines that cross the roadway.  Work should be completed around 10:10 a.m. and workers will make every effort to keep the traffic interruption as brief as possible.

Kentucky Power has notified highway officials, law enforcement agencies and local authorities of the lane closing and obtained all necessary work-related permits.  Professional traffic control personnel will be on hand to manage traffic and lane closures.
