Kentucky Power Offers Energy-Saving Home Evaluations

ASHLAND, KY -- Kentucky Power is pleased to announce an effort to assist its customers in saving energy and money. The Modified Energy Fitness Program is available at no charge to eligible participants and aims to make qualified homes more energy efficient.

Customers taking advantage of the program will have their homes professionally inspected for energy-savings opportunities. Kentucky Power has contracted with Honeywell International and its team of professional energy auditors to conduct the home inspections. The inspections will include a diagnostic test to find air leaks throughout the home and will take about two hours to complete. Each home will receive a customized energy audit report with energy efficiency recommendations as well as relevant energy conservation items to install in the home.

To qualify for the program, customers must live in all-electric, single family homes and have used an average of 1,000 kWh per month over the past year. There is no cost to participate and those who qualify and participate will gain long-term energy savings through the installed upgrades.

The program is offered by Kentucky Power as a means to conserve energy and help customers save money. Customer may call 1-866-225-0686 to check eligibility and schedule an appointment.
