Maintenance Work to Limit Public Access to Constantine & Mottville Hydroelectric Dams

St. Joseph County, Mich. – Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) will restrict access to some of the Constantine and Mottville Hydroelectric Dams recreation areas for maintenance work.

At the Constantine Hydroelectric Dam, access to the reservoir boat launch and fishing access park off of Race St. will be limited for 2 weeks starting on Nov. 2, 2020.

At the Mottville Hydroelectric Dam, availability to the Mottville Reservoir access park off of Riverside Dr. will be restricted during the week of Nov. 9, 2020.

During this scheduled maintenance work, we ask people to be aware of heavy equipment entering and exiting these designated public access areas and to stay out of any marked construction zones.

I&M operates six run-of-river hydroelectric sites along the St. Joseph River in Indiana and Michigan.
