The St. Joseph Solar Farm is now generating emission-free energy. It is our fifth and largest solar farm and located in St. Joseph County, IN. I&M owns and operates the solar farm, building upon our commitment to a sustainable future. St. Joseph Solar Farm harnesses the sun to generate up to 20 megawatts of energy, enough to power approximately 2,700 homes.
We worked in partnership with the University of Notre Dame on the St. Joseph Solar Farm. Notre Dame is promoting its sustainability goals by supporting 40 percent of the renewable attributes of the facility. We will also collaborate to capitalize on educational opportunities and research benefits.
Many of you have expressed your preference for more renewable energy. We offer optional programs to voluntarily attribute some or all of your energy use to renewable green energy. Learn more about GoGreen or call us at 1.800.311.4634.
