We make coverage from HomeServe available as an optional purchase for those who want the convenience of billing through Indiana Michigan Power. HomeServe charges are itemized separately on your bill. Although we collect payments for HomeServe, your ability to pay off HomeServe charges has no effect on the continued delivery of electricity to your home. You will not be disconnected because there is a HomeServe balance.

The home protection plans are sold and administered by HomeServe. We provide a convenient billing solution for customers who want to make this optional purchase from HomeServe.
We conducted a competitive bidding process called a Request For Proposal (RFP). Several companies that offer protection plans participated by submitting proposals for Indiana Michigan Power to evaluate. We reviewed their terms of service, cost, and the references of the competing companies and selected HomeServe.
HomeServe covered our entire service territory, vetted qualified local contractors, and had good references. It has an "A" rating with the Better Business Bureau with over 1 million customers nationally.
