Electric Choice arrived in Michigan on Jan. 1, 2002. The state's investor-owned utilities, including
Indiana Michigan Power, have in place the systems that allow customers to choose an Alternative
Electric Supplier (AES), the company that supplies the electricity you use.

Some I&M customer tariffs require a 90 day customer notification that they are planning on taking service from an alternative supplier. Your Alternative Electric Supplier can assist you with this notification if needed.
