A busy week makes it challenging to remember every small detail. As time goes by, we are at the mercy of post-it notes and calendar scribbles to remember details from days prior. What if there was a platform that tracked each week and offered awareness and potential savings? For many, access to this report is in the palm of your hands.
For Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) customers with a smart meter installed, your WAMI, or Weekly AMI report, can be beneficial. Throughout the week, energy is used in a variety of ways. From doing loads of laundry to a morning shower to binging a show – we all consume energy differently. Sometimes, our energy use can be somewhat undetected. Realizing you left a light on after you get to work or running multiple appliances in the evening rush can account for higher energy use without even trying. For some, this increase may be a surprise on a monthly bill and pose the question, where that spike came from?
By regularly reviewing your WAMI report, customers can track their weekly use and identify saving opportunities fit for their home. This provides a platform to compare how energy is used in the morning versus the evening; weekday versus weekend; and Monday verses Thursday. Not sure where to find your report? Access your I&M account and head to Account Settings. Adjust the preference to automatically receive your WAMI report in the Usage Notification Preferences.
Your WAMI report is just the start. There are several ways to save, and during October’s National Energy Awareness Month, now is the perfect time to jump into an energy-saving routine.
