Indiana Michigan Power (I&M), an operating company of American Electric Power (Nasdaq: AEP), has named Katie Davis as vice president of External Affairs and Customer Experience.
An accomplished energy utility executive, Davis will lead I&M’s newly formed External Affairs and Customer Experience team, which is comprised of the following departments:
- Customer Services and Business Development
- Government Affairs
- External Affairs
- Communications and Marketing
Katie will replace Marc Lewis, who is retiring at the end of June.
“Katie brings the skills and experience to enhance I&M’s commitment to excellent service for our customers and strong support of the communities we serve,” said Toby Thomas, I&M president and chief operating officer. “Katie will continue the important innovation and expansion of our customer service programs lead our public policy team and ensure that I&M robustly communicates with our customers, other stakeholders and the public.”
Davis held key positions at Pacific Gas & Electric, one of the largest gas and electric companies in the country, for more than a decade. At PG&E, Katie served as chief of staff to the company’s CEO and president, and as senior manager of Public Affairs. More recently, she was vice president of External Affairs at Duquesne Light Company in Pittsburgh.
She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and Communications from the University of California, Davis.
Davis will begin her new role with I&M on March 15 and will relocate to Fort Wayne with her family.
