I&M customers may also take advantage of programs offered through Energizing Indiana – a statewide effort to promote energy efficiency and bring savings to communities across the state.
Programs available to business customers include: Audit Program-for Restaurant and Grocery - provides energy audits for grocery stores and restaurants to identify cost effective ways to reduce energy usage;Incentives Program - cash incentives for eligible custom energy efficiency projects: Retro Commissioning Lite- incentives for compressed air, building and refrigeration optimization and upgrades to existing facilities;Prescriptive Rebates Program - rebates for qualified energy efficient lighting, drives, HVAC and commercial kitchen appliances; Renewables and Demonstrations - funding available for renewable energy or energy efficient technology projects.
Residential customers in Indiana are eligible for energy-saving programs such as: Appliance Recycling Program - Cash incentive and complimentary recycling of older refrigerators or freezers that some homeowners keep in garages or basements. Home Energy Assessment Program - An in-home analysis of a home’s energy use along with recommendations to save energy. Residential Peak Reduction Program - Receive $40 in bill credits every year by helping to manage peak demand on the electric system in the summer. Income Qualified Weatherization - Qualifying customers can learn where their homes lose the most energy and receive energy-saving measures to promote energy efficiency. Lighting - Instant discounts on Energy Star lighting at participating retail stores. School Education Program - Students in 5th and 6th grade learn about energy efficiency and how they can make an impact at home.
