My Renewable Choices

Environmental responsibility is fundamentally important to Indiana Michigan Power. We work hard to protect the environment while delivering safe, reliable service.

More than two-thirds of the energy I&M generates is from emission-free sources in the two states we serve. We own and operate four solar plants, with a fifth plant now being built near South Bend. We buy energy from three Hoosier wind generation plants. Our Cook Nuclear Plant generates enough emission-free energy to power more than 1.5 million homes.

Many Indiana Michigan Power customers have expressed their preference for more renewable energy. I&M offers customers in both states optional programs to voluntarily attribute some or all of their energy use to renewable green energy.
